Shannon L Jenkins, DO

Shannon L Jenkins, DO

Neonatology
Shannon Jenkins, D.O. is a Board-Certified Neonatalogist in Idaho Falls, Idaho. He is a pediatrician with many additional years of sub-specialty training in the care of newborns, and specializes in the advanced treatment of fragile infants and preemies at EIRMC's. Jenkins is a member of the American Board of Pediatrics; Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine. He says that, just like in big cities, EIRMC has the capabilities to treat and care for very tiny babies as young as 22 weeks. Dr. Jenkins encourages parents to have their baby born in a hospital with a neonatologist available because when unexpected circumstances arise, it wastes crucial time to transfer babies who need help. Dr. Jenkins earned his Fellowship at UCLA Medical Center, completed his Residency at the University of Arizona Medical Center, and attended Medical School at Kansas City University of Medicine.
